Gloucetsershire County Council is carrying out a major consultation to find out what people think about a significant change of direction for public services in a bid to save £75million over the next three years.

Meeting the Challenge – Together we can launched on 9th June and in the first two weeks, more than 500 people have either completed the online survey or attended a roadshow event and completed a questionnaire.

People visiting the website have been viewing animated scenarios which help to explain the change in focus the council is looking at.

People have until Monday 4th August, to tell the council what they think and they can do that in person at one of the public roadshows or online at www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/togetherwecan.

Cllr Mark Hawthorne, Leader of Gloucestershire County Council, said: “I’m pleased that more than 500 people have already told us what they think – if you haven’t had your say yet then please do visit our website or come along to a roadshow and give us your views.”
