Nailsworth duo take on UK's highest mountain
TWO women are planning to climb Scottish mountain Ben Nevis by moonlight to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society.
Clare Janik and Rachel Dedman both work for Nailsworth carer agency Corinium Care who look after the elderly, those with dementia and young adults with physical and learning disabilities.
The pair plan to raise £500 from their climb on the night of Saturday, August 30, and although they are both reasonably fit, neither have climbed a mountain before, let alone the UK’s highest peak. Corinium Care managing director Clare said: “With an increasing number of our clients suffering from Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia we were keen to help raise awareness of this devastating condition. Alzheimer’s Society does a very good job.”
Anyone who wants to sponsor Clare and Rachel can do so online at http://www.justgiving.com/CoriniumCareLtd
