PARK JUNIOR School are collecting bags of textiles for Rags 2 Riches 4 Schools in order to raise funds for the school’s PTA.
Parents and pupils are being encouraged to clear their homes of all unwanted shoes, clothes and bedding to donate to the charity.
On Friday, July 4 at 10.30am the mascot of Rags 2 Riches 4 Schools will be visiting the Stonehouse school to weigh and collect the bags.
Textiles will be weighed in and in return per kilo the school will receive 65 pence to put towards the PTA.
The 100 per cent efficient recycling process is an easy, efficient way for the school to earn some much needed cash.
Money raised will be spent on new outdoor play equipment for the pupils to enjoy and any remaining cash will go back into PTA funds.
Friday, July 4 will be the last day to donate unwanted goods.
