Police are appealing for information after a car left the scene of a collision in Cheltenham.

The incident happened near St Paul’s Tavern pub on St Paul’s Road at around 12am on Sunday, June 29.

The vehicle, a silver hatchback car, possibly a Ford Focus, hit a pedestrian, a 48-year-old local man, breaking his leg. The victim was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital by ambulance for treatment.

The vehicle left the scene without stopping.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have been in the St Paul's Road/St Paul’s Street North area at the time and witnessed the incident. If anyone does have information they should contact Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 5 of June 29.
