POP star Lily Allen had a packed Glastonbury weekend, firstly starring on the Pyramid stage on Friday June 29 before appearing on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs on Sunday June 29.
After being delayed by an electrical storm, the Cranham singer performed a selection of classic hits to an appreciative crowd at the main Glastonbury stage.
Allen, 29, then opened up about some more personal issues to presenter Kirsty Young on the long-running radio show before selecting songs including Pulp’s Common People and Etta James’ recording of I Would Rather Go Blind.
The singer tearfully opened up about her previous dependence on drugs, marriage to Sam Cooper and miscarriage in 2010. She also admitted to being quite amused to be more famous than her actor father Keith Allen.
