TWO dental nurses will sink their teeth into an endurance run this weekend to raise money for charity Sands.
Chalford runner Kerry Robertson will take on a London 10km run to help the charity which supports mothers of stillborn children.
Kerry, 25, will complete the 6.1 mile British London 10k alongside friend and fellow dental nurse Gabriela Vilela, 22, on Sunday, July 13.
Kerry’s sister lost her baby, Poppy, at 37 weeks in March, and is now raising money to help others suffering a similar pain by supporting charity Sands.
Founded in 1978, Sands is a charity which supports anyone affected by the death of a baby and promotes research to reduce the loss of babies' lives.
Kerry said: “After we lost Poppy the devastation to our family was horrific.
“This is my way of doing something for Sands and for Poppy.”
To prepare for the race Kerry has been training at local clubs and venturing on routes all around Stroud.
“I've never been a runner before but I love it now” she said. "I feel like it's Poppy's gift to me. We’re ready and I can’t wait.”
