DINERS in Stroud are enjoying a new restaurant.
Dinner at Six in Union Street opened on Wednesday, July 2 in the premises previously occupied by the Food Emporium, which closed earlier this year.
It is open for lunch and dinner – Tuesday to Saturday.
Richard Dunlop, 28, who co-owns the restaurant with business partner Wesley Birch, 29, said he is looking forward to providing Stroud with a new and exciting dining opportunity.
“We just wanted to do something a little different for Stroud,” he said.
“We’re looking to give our customers a good meal, reasonable prices, and good local produce,” he said.
Richard and Wesley trained at William’s Kitchen in Nailsworth and will be in charge of a team of chefs and front-of-house staff.
Chef Kylie Hughes, 25, said: “We’ll be using as much local, seasonal produce as we can.
“We’ve got suppliers across the county and I’ll also be picking up a lot of ingredients from the farmers’ market here.”
