AN AFTERNOON bathed in summer sunshine was enjoyed by visitors to this year’s successful Hidden Gardens of Frampton on Father’s Day.

Stonehouse Rotarian John Jeynes said: “The 14 gardens on display from large to cottage were all in superb condition and our visitors saw real value for their money.

“We're so grateful to our Frampton gardening friends for helping us raising over £2,200 for local good causes and Rotary charities.”

The local WI was busy all afternoon serving their high-class teas and cakes in the village hall, the proceeds going to the local Frampton Community Group.

Grandfather Tony Timmons visited with his son Ben Staff, and grand-children Joseph and Orla.

Mr Timmons said: “We are regular visitors to this event. Frampton is beautiful and I really appreciate the efforts of Rotary and all the gardeners particularly as my son is a keen gardener himself.”

Mr Staff added: “I like looking around all the diverse gardens and getting ideas for my own garden which I plan to open to the public for charity next year.”
