STUDENTS from William Morris College have helped add a bit of colour to a bridge in Stonehouse.

Six pupils from the specialist college in Eastington, which helps young people with learning disabilities, painted a unique mural under the bridge in Downton Road, Stonehouse.

It was designed from individual pieces of artwork which were selected from students work over the course of a couple of months and features images of boats, barges, animals and flora and fauna.

Gill Paterson, head of education at the college, said: “We are so happy to be involved in the Cotswold Canal Knowledge programme as it gives our students the chance to support the local community while also getting to display their work.”
