POLICE are urging people to be on the lookout for a gold rosary necklace stolen in a house burglary overnight.

The item of jewellery, which is of high sentimental value to the victim, was taken along with a black HP Compaq laptop and £200.

Unknown offenders entered the house in Betjeman Close through an insecure window and stole the property while the homeowner was asleep.

The victim discovered the break-in on waking up at 7am today (Friday July 25).

Anyone who has seen the necklace (pictured) or has any information about the crime should call 101, quoting incident 63 of July 25.
