SNJ editor Sue Smith is getting into shape for an adventurous holiday.
MADE it to the gym this week for my personal training and as is always the way, once I am finished and showered I wonder why I don’t do it every day.
After an intense 45 minutes with Matt Collins at Fifth Dimension Health Club I feel recharged and ready to start work and best of all it’s all over and done with and I don’t have to worry about fitting it in for the rest of the day.
I love my session with Matt. He has devised a programme for me that is totally appropriate to my age and ability and he hasn’t got me running around like a 20-year-old.
We are focusing on weights for strength, squats with and without weights for core body work and he is very encouraging about my sessions on the step which is fast becoming one of my favourite things.
I have been following my healthy eating plan, apart from a small blip at the weekend but that’s life so I am not going to beat myself up about it.
