THESE are exciting times at the farmers’ market office as we are in the process of a complete renewal of our 10-year-old website and database.

The new website will be mobile phone and tablet friendly so it will be much easier to access information about the markets we run, and to link with our social media outputs.
We also have a new e mail address; markets@fresh-n-local.co.uk where you can send all your questions so our fabulous office team can answer all your queries.
Have you joined the Stroud farmers’ market Facebook group?
Or do you follow the Stroud farmers’ market Twitter account?
We try and put up a couple of posts a week highlighting any special happenings on the food and entertainments front, and we always hope to bring a smile to the face of our social media friends.
The new website will be linked to the new e-newsletter which is to be a bi-monthly feature delivered direct to our customers’ email inboxes across the district, county and country.
As well as features about the market such as stallholder features, produce features and special offers, the site will also include a section which local businesses and attractions can feed into so we can promote other things happening in and around Stroud.
To sign up for the newsletter you can email us on the address above; the first issue will be arriving at the beginning of September.
On the food front we have to bid “adieu, my love” to the cherries, “until we meet again” next July.
But lo – is that a plum and an early apple I see at the market?
Yes folks, we are into the next phase of top fruit (while the berries continue) and there will be plenty of fruit for all for several months to come.
