RESURFACING works due to take place on Cainscross Road, Stroud, this summer has been delayed.
At a meeting on Monday, July 14, Stroud Town Council heard that work was unlikely to happen before next year.
County councillor Sarah Lunnon (Green, Stroud central) said that because work is being carried out on electric cables, county highways would not have time to carry out the resurfacing as all work there has to be completed during the summer holidays.
Cllr Lunnon supported the town council’s request to ensure the road was in a condition fit for all road users including cyclists.
