THE Festival Players will perform their all-male production of Shakespeare’s Comedy of Errors at the Museum in the Park on Wednesday, August 6.

Worcestershire-based Michael Dyer, artistic director of the Festival Players, and former director of Cornwall’s Minack Open Air Theatre, will lead the company and take the role of Duke Solinus.

A small cast of seven will play multiple parts, demanding quick costume changes, as well as performing as musicians.

“It is a brilliant farce of mistaken identities with a few darker undertones and we will perform it very much as a colourful, entertaining romp,” said Michael.

"It tells of a master and his servant arriving in a foreign port which, unbeknown to them, is the home of their long-lost twin brothers. Mayhem ensues in a riotous train of mistaken identity, seduction and pursuit."

The show will take place by the old Orangery and seating will be limited to 100. Bring along a picnic and enjoy the beautiful backdrop of Stratford Park before the play begins, from 6pm onwards. The performance will start at 7pm.

All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Walled Garden Appeal.
