WORK has started on a £2 million project to improve 325,000 square metres of roads in Gloucestershire.
Surface dressing, which seals the road surface against water and air while providing better grip and skid resistance, will be used at 28 locations this summer.
Gloucestershire County Council says the treatment is commonly used and cost effective, prolonging the life of roads and enhancing road safety.
Work began on Wednesday and is due to finish on Sunday, August 24.
