A NEW vision of Stroud was unveiled at a public meeting on Saturday.
Residents were invited to Lansdown Hall to find out more about the Town Centre Neighbourhood Plan.
Those with knowledge, skills and an interest in the future of Stroud are needed to help with the project by joining a steering group and several smaller panels.
A range of topics under consideration include the changing face of Stroud town centre, vacant and underused sites and retail units, access to areas around Cheapside, the redevelopment of the canal and the re-doubling of the railway line to Swindon.
Town councillor Steve Hurrell said: “The purpose of the afternoon was to spread the word about the likely scope of the plan and the community process needed to create it.”
