WW1 Commemoration
February 1916 At a meeting of Stroud Rural District Council it was stated that arrangements had been made between Police and Volunteer Training Corps that lights should be extinquished on an alarm of an air raid being received.
The alarm would be given by Messrs Apperly, Curtis & Co sounding their hooter and Messrs Holloway Bros. Their bell.
