HUNDREDS attended a ball in honour of Rob Camm who was left paralysed last year after a tragic accident.

Since coming out of his coma Rob, 19, has shown enormous courage and is determined to rebuild his life and plans to take up his university place at Bristol in September.

His passion for sports, his positive attitude and his great sense of humour has led to many people wanting to fundraise for him so he can have the latest top-quality equipment to make his life easier.

The Cammalot Ball, held at the Whitminster Inn free of charge featured a promises auction headed by Rob York, who hosted the auction, also giving his time free.

The 32 lots included holiday homes in Florida and France, a match day meal for four at Gloucester Rugby Club, massages, a match day in a Manchester United box at Old Trafford and tickets for a polo final at Great Windsor Park.

The raffle alone made £2,000 and with so many generous donations the evening accumulated a fantastic amount of money.

The hall was decorated in cherry and white, Gloucester Rugby colours. Rob’s team.
