A NEW charity shop is prospering in Stroud since opening at the end of March.

The town’s second branch of Sue Ryder is based in Union Street in the old shop mobility centre and trades in furniture, electrical items and bric-a-brac.

Shop manager Tracy Day said: “We’re very excited and have taken a great opportunity to fill another shop in Stroud. “We’re hoping for more volunteers and donations to support the incredible hospice and neurological care provided by Sue Ryder.”

Tracy adds that the shop is proud to do things differently- and with a permanent in-store piano for anybody to come and tinkle the ivories.
