SEVERAL walkers led by Stroud district councillor Elizabeth Peters met on Monday for a First World War remembrance walk around Chalford on the day on which war was declared 100 years ago.
They walked from Chalford Baptist Church to Haywards Lane and France Lynch parish church before returning home to remember those who served in the conflict.
Liz said: “We saw several graves and plaques which recognise those from Chalford who died for our freedom.”
