AFTER further weather disruption this week the only Sweetfuels CDCA Div One match to be completed was at Pinkney Park where second-placed Sherston Magna surprisingly suffered a resounding defeat to Barnsley Beeches.

The visitors batted first and posted a competitive 192 all out.

After a break for rain the revised target was 166 off 34 overs. This proved far too much for the hosts Sherston Magna who collapsed to 85 all out in 25 overs to lose ground on the league leaders.

At Adlestrop, visitors Cricklade posted 156-4, with Danny Lloyd scoring 54, and had Adlestrop struggling at 39-2 off 16 overs when the rain washed out any further play.

At Stow-on-the-Wold, visitors NATS posted an under par 109 all out after Dan Smith took 5-20. In reply, David Nieman (52no) and Ash Andrews (35no) took Stow to the brink of victory at 90-0 off 19 overs before the rain came to cause an abandonment.
