AN ORGANIC skin care company has teamed up with Gloucester Cathedral to create a range of candles and balms.

Stay-at-home dad Jason Horton set up his skin care company Haughton-Greene after frantically searching for a way to treat his young childrens' painful eczema.

He was horrified at the amount of chemicals in some eczema products and the side effects that came with them. He did eventually discover some organic products but found the prices way too high so instead decided to experiment with products himself.

After a lot of research and hard work, he soon had the confidence to use the product on his daughter and within four weeks her condition had all but disappeared and his son quickly became better too.

Now he has teamed up with Gloucester Cathedral's shop, which has chosen the Christmas candle and a variety of other fresh scented products to sell.

Shop manager Lynne Lee said: "We are extremely pleased to have these bespoke, natural, and fine quality products in the Cathedral Gift Shop. It is a partnership that we hope will continue to add something special and unique for our customers."
