ALMOST a year after her father died of cancer, Kizzy Spicer is organising a coffee morning in his memory.

Kizzy, 23, is going to be baking all the cakes on the day with the help of her mentor from the Door Youth Project in Stroud, Karen Sadler, who recovered from bowel cancer three years ago.

The coffee morning is in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of Kizzy’s father Robert Spicer who died of pancreatic cancer last October at the age of 66.

The coffee morning takes place at Stroud baptist Church hall in Union Street between 10am and 2pm on Monday, September 1.

Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning takes place on Friday, September 26.
