BOATERS and land-lovers alike enjoyed a Bank Holiday weekend of festivities as the Saul Waterways Pageant cruised along the Gloucester and Sharpness canal.
An estimated 2,000 visitors flocked to the junction with the Stroudwater Navigation.
Organised by the Inland Waterways Association, activities included boat handling, canoeing, tug of war, a Best Boat in Bloom competition, an illuminated boat display, walking, fishing, cycling and geocaching.
A highlight was a parade of historic RNLI lifeboats brought to Saul by lifeboat enthusiast Phil Trotter of Saul Junction boat builders R W Davis & Sons.
Other attractions included artisan food stalls, a real ale bar, a market and music.
