A NATIONAL chain of lounge bars is coming to Stroud.
Owners of the Loungers chain plan to open a new branch known as Curio Lounge in King Street on Saturday, December 3.
A change of use application has been submitted to Stroud District Council to turn the vacant retail space into a cafe/restaurant.
According to a Loungers spokesman Curio Lounge will be a casual dining café bar offering an all day menu.
“We chose Stroud because it is an up and coming area and we hope Curio Lounge can provide a relaxed, family friendly home from home that becomes a real hub of the community.
The site in King Street will undergo a £500,000 refurbishment to make it fit in with chain’s signature style which can be seen in the 40 other lounges across the UK.
