THE incinerator decision could be delayed, according to Stroud town councillor John Marjoram.
At a town council meeting on Monday night Cllr Marjoram expressed his doubts that Secretary of State Eric Pickles would make his decision before the September 17 deadline next week.
According to Cllr Marjoram there is a possibility the decision will be delayed until after the general election next May.
Plans to build a £500million incinerator at Javelin Park were unanimously refused by the county council in March last year, however waste firm Urbaser Balfour Beatty appealed the decision which is now in the hands of the Secretary of State.
