A MAN was chased and subjected to a serious sexual assault last Friday night in Tewkesbury.

Police are investigating a serious sexual attack against a man on Friday, September 19 between 10-11pm in the Grange Road area of Northway, Tewkesbury.

Three men got out of a van and chased the man after he had pulled his car over to allow them to pass.

Having left his vehicle, the man ran to a nearby field where he was sexually assaulted and verbally threatened.

Police are asking for any witnesses to come forward who may have driven along Grange Road that evening, in particular if they recall seeing a parked white Transit van in that road.

There were three men seen in the van and they are described as:

1: white male, 6 feet 1 inch, aged in his 30’s to late 40’s, completely bald and wearing blue jeans and black work boots.

2: white male 6 feet 1 inch, bald on the top but with hair round the side, wearing jeans and a coat.

3: white male, around 5 feet 5 inches tall, black/brown shaved hair wearing a smart shirt and blue jeans.

It is not believed this was a random attack and therefore police do not believe that the general public is in danger from these men.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101 urgently, quoting incident 19 of September 20 and crime number 21798/14.
