TETBURY was awash with food and drink for its annual food festival at the weekend.

The Tetbury Food and Drink Festival which ran from Wednesday to Sunday promoted produce from the Tetbury area.

Foodies flocked to restaurants and pubs around the town in their droves to enjoy a hearty variety of produce.

The main event was a market at the Market Hall on Sunday, offering everything from cheese,cider, speciality beers to cakes and pies.

Organiser Kathryn Limoi said: “As always the highlight was the market. We had morris dancers and they were very good.

“We had a good attendance and a lot of stalls sold out of their produce.”

The Orchard Restaurant at Highgrove once again opened its doors for the annual event.

Guests were treated to a tour followed by a Champagne and canapé reception, before enjoying a two-course supper using produce from across Gloucestershire and bread from Hobbs House bakers.

At the Snooty Fox hotel, Heritage Wines tickled taste buds with a wine tasting event that included ten wines, which were matched with five beers and five food items.

The Priory Inn hosted a fun filled afternoon of speciality ales and cider tastings accompanied by live music.

Popular Cotswold chef, Rob Rees dropped by the festival with his Wiggly Worm Machine street food van and served up hot food.

Hungry mouths were fed on Saturday by Tetbury butchers Jessie Smith, who served up a selection of sizzling sausages and burgers.
