Thursday, October 23 – Environment Committee, Ebley Mill, 7pm This meeting will cover an update on the council’s carbon management programme which aims to reduce our carbon dioxide emissions and energy costs. Key measures put forward for next year are combined heat and power generation at Dursley Pool and Stratford Park Leisure Centre.

The leisure centre will also see cavity wall insulation installed. There are also further measures to improve energy efficiency at Ebley Mill. Dog waste bins are also on the agenda in particular whether it is a good idea to encourage dog walkers to use the 1,500 litter bins around the district as well as the existing 415 dedicated dog waste bins. The aim is to reduce dog fouling - something we receive hundreds of complaints about, every year. Watch the meeting at www.stroud.gov.uk/webcast
