A MOTORCYCLIST has died following a collision on Thursday, October 23 with a BMW in Cheltenham.
At around 8.40pm the accident took place at the junction of Portland Street and Fairview Road.
A red Yamaha motorcycle and a Silver BMW car were in collision in the middle of the junction.
The driver of the car was a male in his twenties from the Cheltenham area and was uninjured. The rider of the motorcycle was a male in his forties, also from the Cheltenham area.
He suffered multiple injuries and was taken to Southmead Hospital, Bristol for treatment.
On Friday, October 24 the rider of the motorcycle died from his injuries whilst still being treated at Southmead.
Gloucestershire Constabulary and the ambulance service attended the scene and the road was closed for three hours whilst police collision investigators carried out an examination of the scene.
Investigations are still on going. Police would like to hear from any one who witnessed the collision.
