A WOMAN has been charged with the murder of a 66-year-old man in the Forest of Dean.
Gerald Nott, 66, from Queensway in Broadwell, Coleford, died in suspicious circumstances on October 26 (Sunday). Police and paramedics were called to a home in Queensway shortly before 7am.
Police arrested a woman on suspicion of murder following allegations that the man was assaulted during the night.
Now Amanda Howard, 46 of Broadwell, Coleford has been charged with Mr Nott's murder. She will appear at Cheltenham Magistrates Court at 10am this morning.
Mr Nott's daughter, Jacqueline Nott has asked people to respect the family's privacy at this time.
"My sister and I would like to thank people for the kind messages about our Dad. Our Dad had a heart of gold and would help anyone. We love him lots and he will be extremely missed."
