POLICE in Gloucester are appealing for information about two suspicious incidents which happened yesterday.

The first incident happened outside Barnwood Park Arts College, St Lawrence Road, Gloucester around 1515 hours.

An 11 year old female pupil noticed a male at the school gates when she left school.  She started to run home along Abbeymead Avenue and noticed the male started to run after her.

She then spotted a friend's mother at a nearby Tesco Express and ran to her.  The friend's mother then walked the girl home.

It's believed the man then ran off along Kimberland Way.

The man is described as white, in his 30s, medium build, between 5ft 7ins and 5ft 8 ins tall.  He was wearing a black puffer jacket, black baggy jeans, black gloves and blue and white trainers.  His jacket was zipped up to his nose/eye level.   He was also carrying a black back-pack with a hip flask in a side pocket.

In the second incident a 13 year old girl (from the same school) was walking home along Abbeymead Avenue at around 3.30pm when she spotted a man on the opposite side of the road running towards her.

The girl ran home.  The male disappeared.

He's described as middle aged, medium build and was wearing jeans.

A spokesman for Gloucestershire Police said:  "We are still investigating what happened here and if there was any clear criminal intent.  However other members of the public may have seen the male or know who he is and we ask them to get in touch.

"In the meantime we are encouraging children and parents to look at the information available at the Kids Aware section of the Gloucestershire Constabulary website www.gloucestershire.police.uk/kids_aware.

"Anyone who has information on these incidents should call us on 101 and quote incident 337 and/or 350 of November 6th. "
