GLOUCESTERSHIRE Police are appealing for a person who called them claiming that he saw a child being dragged into a car to make contact with them.
The incident is believed to have happened on Naas Lane in Quedgeley at around 4pm this afternoon.
The man called 999 from a phone box on Sellars Lane in Hardwicke at around 4.10pm explaining to an officer that a girl was being dragged into a black Vauxhall Vectra by a white man of large build.
When the man was asked further questions by the operator he hung up.
Officers are urging the man to call back immediately on 999 or 101.
Anyone who may have also witnessed the incident is asked to contact Police, quoting incident number 306 of November 13.
