POLICE are appealing for a potential witness to the suspected abduction of a girl in Gloucestershire.
Officers are appealing for the driver of a pick-up truck that may have information on the incident in Quedgeley at around 4pm yesterday.
It is believed that a white man in a black Vauxhall Vectra grabbed a girl who was standing at the side of the road in Naas Lane.
Officers would particularly like to speak to the driver of a black Ford Ranger pick-up truck who may have information about what happened.
Police are also appealing for a man who called to report the suspected kidnapping to come forward.
He called 999 from a phone box on Sellars Lane in Hardwicke at about 4.10pm explaining to an officer that a girl was being dragged into a black Vauxhall Vectra by a white man of large build.
When the man was asked further questions by the operator he hung up.
Anyone who may know something about this is asked to contact Gloucestershire police on 101 or 999, quoting incident number 306 of November 13.
