POLICE investigating a burglary at a house in Cheltenham where an elderly couple were threatened with a knife have released CCTV images of a woman that they would like to speak to.

The burglary happened at a house on Alma Road in the town between 7pm and 7.15pm on Tuesday November 11.

During the incident one of the victims, a woman in her 70s answered the door and was confronted by two men, one of which was brandishing a knife.

One of the men then grabbed the female victim placing his hand over her mouth. The offenders then searched the house and took the male victim’s empty wallet and the female victim’s handbag and purse containing a small amount of cash, Samsung mobile phone, house key and various other items.

Officers have released CCTV images from the cash dispensers at Sainsbury’s on Gallagher Retail Park on Tewkesbury Road at around 7.30pm on the same day.

The cards being used by the woman in the pictures belong to the victim of the burglary. It is believed that the woman was with a man at the time.
