Savvy Seniors meet at 11am every Monday at the Vue Cinema in Stroud to see the latest films. Next Monday, November 24 join us to see Walk among the Tombstones starring Liam Neeson. Live Screenings will take place at 2.45pm on Sunday, November 23 of Bolshoi Ballet: Pharaoh’s Daughter and at 7pm on Wednesday, November 26 for The Royal Opera House: L’elisir D’Amore. Join us for the next Cotswold AONB Warden’s Walk at 10am today, Wednesday, November 19 at the Rec car park, Shadwell, Uley and walk for four miles to the hill fort taking three hours. Next Tuesday, November 25 join us at Stinchcombe Hill public car park for a three mile walk taking two hours ‘around the hill’. If you are interested in joining and helping establish a community choir in Stonehouse come along to the town hall at 7.30pm on Friday, November 21, Wednesday, November 26 and Wednesday, December 3. We now have someone to lead us and hope to perform at the Goodwill Festival in Stonehouse on Saturday, November 29.

Hats for seamen - many people have been knitting hats and balaclavas for seamen which are sent off to the depot in Bristol. With the cold weather among us the hats are very much needed. If you would like to join in the efforts and knit for seamen, all hats and balaclavas can be left in Stonehouse Town Hall.

Come along to Goldfish community toddler group from 10am until 11.30am every Friday in school term time at the Baptist Church. Wyclife Choral Society presents The Peacemakers by Karl Jenkins – music dedicated to the memory of all those who lost their lives during armed conflict. The concert also includes Samuel Barber’s Adagio for Strings and Grieg’s Holberg Suite. The performance takes place at 7.30pm in The Chapel, Wycliffe College, Stonehouse on Sunday, November 30. Stonehouse Library Baby Bounce and Rhyme and Bookstart Bear sessions are back from 10.30am until 11am every Wednesday during school term time.
