FOREST Green's away clash at Dover Athletic this Saturday at Crabble will be sponsored by political party UKIP (United Kingdom Independence Party).

It is understood that UKIP approached Whites about sponsoring the game in what they feel is a key political patch for them ahead of next year's general election.

Party leader and parliamentary candidate for Thanet South, Nigel Farage, will not be in attendance at Crabble.

Forest Green chairman Dale Vince felt politics and football don't make happy bedfellowes.

He claimed:"It's best to keep politics out of football, and racism."

The wording on the club's official website has now been changed, saying the match is now sponsored by "David Little and Friends".
