TICKETS are still available for a fundraising ball in memory of former Prince’s Trust worker Nick Bonnie.

Friends and family of Nick, who grew up in King’s Stanley, have organised the ball as part of an ongoing appeal called Summit for Bonnie to raise £12,500 for the Prince’s Trust – where Nick worked for eight years.

At the end of the appeal five of Nick’s closest friends will be taking on the huge challenge to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in October next year. “We have managed to raise around £8,000 so far. Our grand target is £12,500 and we are hoping that our winter ball can push us closer to that,” said Craig Mayo.

“It is something that we have all worked very hard to organise and we are sure it will be a fantastic evening.”

The ball is being held on Saturday at Forest Green Rovers Football Club and will include a three-course dinner, live music, a silent auction and a raffle.

Some of the auction items include a signed Jamie Carragher Liverpool shirt and a signed England rugby shirt.
