A TEACHER at Nailsworth Primary School is moving to the top of the class after being awarded a headship.
Sharon Cale, who is currently deputy head and Year 6 teacher at the Forest Green school, will take up the post of head teacher at Amberley Primary School in January.
“I’m very sad to be leaving Nailsworth where I’ve spent a wonderful four years,” said Sharon.
“We’ve built up a lovely supportive team, with head Vince Southcott encouraging me to do my MPQH which is a course for heads. The school has recently moved into the top 20 in the county, which is a tribute to all the staff and pupils.
“It’s really exciting to be joining Amberley. The staff and governors have been really warm and friendly, and the children very complimentary about their school. Amberley Primary School has a really strong Christian ethos and I’m looking forward to starting there in January.”
