THE Royal Agricultural University is campaigning for a zero tolerance approach to domestic abuse and sexual violence.

During the 16 day Gloucestershire Take a Stand campaign, which has been running from November 25 organisations, groups and communities across the county are joining forces and taking action.

To show its support to the campaign, the university will be holding a ‘Walk a Mile’ event at its campus on December 4, inviting students, staff and members of the public to join in a mile walk around the campus to help raise awareness.

Students are also supporting the the Gloucestershire Take a Stand campaign by wearing purple ‘real men support an end to domestic abuse’ t-shirts and tying a purple ribbon to a tree at the RAU’s historic Cirencester campus, to demonstrate its commitment.

During the campaign, there will be a number of events for public and professionals, backed up by a marketing campaign encouraging people to seek help if they have any doubts that they are in a healthy relationship.
