WORK on a new multi-million pound sports hall at Cirencester College started last week.

The new Sports Centre is due to open its doors in September 2015 and will bring much needed sports facilities to the College, including a brand new fitness suite, new changing facilities, five classrooms and drop in IT areas for students.

The College managed to secure government funding for the new centre, which comes only a year after the opening of the 24 classroom Nigel Robbins Building.

Principal Kim Clifford said: “We are really pleased to secure this funding for the new centre, sports courses are one of the many strengths at the college and this will give our students a fantastic opportunity to experience the best facilities for sports, health and fitness.”

Information about about sports courses at the college will be given at an Open Evening on Thursday 22 January from 5pm to 8pm.
