The Raceteers are holding their Christmas party at King's Stanley Village Hall this Saturday, December 6. It will be the usual blend of 60s and 70s rock and pop with some festive favourites thrown in. Tickets are available from Yew Tree Stores for £5 which includes a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie. Doors open at 7.30pm.

Panto time – Sinbadaladdin at Elmore Village Hall will be performed tonight, Wednesday, December 3 until Saturday, December 6. Tickets are £7 for adults and £4 for children.

Savvy Seniors meet at 11am every Monday at the Vue Cinema in Stroud to see the latest films. Next Monday, December 8 join us to see Before I go to sleep, a mystery thriller starring Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth.

Stonehouse Community Choir is rehearsing and meets on Fridays in Stonehouse Town Hall. Hats for seamen – many people have been knitting hats and balaclavas for seamen which are sent off to the depot in Bristol. With the cold weather among us the hats are very much needed. If you would like to join in the efforts and knit for seamen, all hats and balaclavas can be left in Stonehouse Town Hall.

Stonehouse Library Baby Bounce and Rhyme and Bookstart Bear sessions are back from 10.30am until 11am every Wednesday during school term time.

Stonehouse History Group will meet at 7.30pm on Wednesday, December 10 at Stonehouse Town Hall. The Nicolle Story and the Occupation of Guernsey will be told in a dramatic historical presentation based on events from the second world war in Guernsey and England by Eric and Val Winder. Prior to the meeting the original official key to Stonehouse Post Office is to be presented to the history group and then displayed and held within the town council. Non-members are always welcome so come and join us for a £2 entrance fee.

Crib Service at St Cyr’s – join us at 2pm on Christmas Eve for our annual crib service. The Christmas story will be told in verse and children will be invited to decorate our Christmas tree during the service. Everyone is warmly welcome and there will be light refreshments afterwards.
