A 24-YEAR-OLD man has been charged in connection with a hit and run incident on Stroud Road in Gloucester in September that resulted in the death of cyclist Alan Knight.

Tykeran Hamilton, of Moor Street in the city, will appear before magistrates in Cheltenham today, Wednesday to face charges of causing death by dangerous driving, causing death while driving an uninsured vehicle and failing to stop after a road accident.

The offences relate to a collision on Stroud Road (B4072), close to St Barnabas Church, next to the St Barnabas roundabout, at around 7am on September 26, in which 64-year-old Alan Knight suffered fatal injuries.

Two men aged 27 and 36 and from Gloucester who were arrested in connection with the case remain on police bail until January while a 31-year-old woman has been released without charge.
