CHAOS ensued in Cirencester on Tuesday as an awkwardly parked car and van caused gridlock in the town centre.
A car had parked in Castle Street just opposite two vans, which were stationed outside Lloyds bank unloading ventilation equipment due to a radon reading in the building.
All three vehicles were parked on yellow lines, but the car had a disabled blue badge which meant it was allowed to.
The car had parked in such a place, however, that an Arkells lorry (pictured) could not get through the gap.
Soon the whole town was at a standstill for about 15 minutes until the driver of the car arrived and drove away.
A similar incident occured on Monday of this week. A bus could not get through the Market Place for 15 minutes because a car was jutting out from its parking space.
Police confirmed that the driver soon arrived and 'duly drove away'.
