POLICE are appealing after two men attempted to steal a woman's mobile phone.
The woman was walking her dog at 6.15pm on Thursday, December 11 in the Skate Park by the motorway bridge at Lobleys Drive.
She was approached by two men from behind, one of whom then jumped in front of her and demanded her phone.
The victim tried to step aside but both males prevented her and began attempting to unzip her jacket pockets.
She smacked their hands away before being pushed into the mud by the men. Both men then ran off in an unknown direction.
Both men are described as white, about 5' 7" tall, of slim build and in their twenties.
One man was wearing a mid length, dark coloured puffer type coat with a fur trimmed hood.
He had short brown hair and spoke with a strong Gloucester accent.
Police would like to hear from anyone who was walking in the area or anyone driving in a car towards Abbeymead who may have seen the offenders assault the victim who was wearing a red puffer jacket and walking her dog.
Please call Gloucestershire Police on 101 quoting incident number 399 of December 11.
