POLICE are appealing for information following a serious road traffic collision near Westbury on Severn yesterday, Thursday.
The collision occurred on the A48 on the Forest side of Westbury at 4.30pm.
It involved two vehicles, a VW Polo being driven by an 87-year-old female towards the Forest, and a Mercedes Van driven by a 26-year-old male, being driven towards Gloucester.
The woman, who is from Lydney, sustained serious but not life threatening injuries and remains in Southmead Hospital.
The male, believed to be from Durham, sustained only minor injuries.
The road was closed for several hours while the Police carried out their investigation.
Any witnesses are asked to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 326 of 18 December.
