POLICE are looking for thieves who broke in to a housing development site and stole sheets of cavity insulation boards.

The offenders broke in to the site in Stone, near Berkeley, through the front gates and removed the boards using a large truck or flat bed lorry sometime between 5pm on Friday, December 5 and 9am on Saturday, December 6.

They also entered an outbuilding containing heavy plant machinery, tampered with the machines but didn't steal or damage anything.

This break in follows another one at the same site between 5pm on Wednesday, December 3 and 7am on Thursday, December 4.

This time a number of hand tools were taken, including two angle grinders and a power drill.

Police are keeping an open mind as to whether the two cases are linked but do not consider this likely.

Police would like to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious on either of these evenings and first thing the following mornings.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the force on 101 quoting incident numbers 58 of 4/12/14 and 63 of 8/12/14.
