POLICE are seeking information about a serious accident that involved two vehicles near Tewkesbury.
It occured at 10.50am yesterday, Wednesday, in the A46 in Ashchurch, near Tewkesbury at the junction with Alexandra Way heading towards Evesham.
This is just off junction nine of the M5.
The collision involved a white Land Rover Freelander, driven by a 69-year-old female from Essex, and a blue Vauxhall Astra driven by an 89-year-old male from Devon.
An 86-year-old woman was in the front passenger seat of the Vauxhall Astra.
Police and ambulance attended the collision and both occupants of the Vauxhall Astra were taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital initially for minor injuries, however on further medical examination, the 86-year-old female was found to have a serious neck injury now described as life threatening.
Her condition is currently stable.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision or to the manner of driving of either vehicle prior to the collision, to get in touch on 101, quoting incident 104 of December 31.
