POLICE are calling for information about the identity of someone who called from a phone box sounding very distressed in Cheltenham yesterday evening.
At about 6pm yesterday (Sunday) police received an emergency call from a very distressed person speaking from a telephone kiosk in Marsland Road, Cheltenham.
Police are very concerned for this person's welfare.
The caller appeared to be a young person, possibly in his or her very early teens. It was uncertain whether the caller was male or female.
Police are appealing for the caller, or anyone who believes they know his or her identity, or who may have seen the caller in Marsland Road at that time, to contact them urgently on 101, quoting incident number 280 of 4 January.
