A 49-YEAR-OLD Gloucester man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after another man was stabbed earlier this morning.
Police have confirmed that they believe the injured man and the arrested man know each other, and that it is not a road rage type incident.
The 44-year-old injured man is in a life-threatening condition at Southmead Hospital in Bristol. The arrested man remains in police custody.
Police were called to a report of a collision and stabbing in Pembury Road in Gloucester at 7.15am.
Road closures are in place while the investigation continues. These closures will apply for vehicles and pedestrians until further notice.
